The short answer
To check a Qatar visa online, open the Ministry of Interior's visa inquiry, search by passport number or visa number, pick your nationality and solve the captcha. Workers can follow biometrics and the medical on the Qatar Visa Center tracker with their passport and visa numbers, and Hayya e-Visa applicants use Hayya's own tracking page.

Key takeaways
- The Ministry of Interior inquiry is the official record of a Qatar work or visit visa, and it accepts a passport number with your nationality.
- The Qatar Visa Center tracker shows your appointment, biometrics and medical, not the visa decision.
- QVC says plainly that finishing biometrics or the medical does not mean a visa has been issued.
- Hayya e-Visas for tourists and family visitors are tracked on hayya.qa with an entry reference number or passport number.
- Qatar never charges to check a status, and pages on free hosting sites that claim to be the MOI are not official.
A Qatar visa check online takes two minutes once you know which of three official pages holds your record. The Ministry of Interior (MOI) keeps the visa itself, the Qatar Visa Center (QVC) in Dhaka tracks the biometrics and medical that workers do before travel, and Hayya handles e-Visas for tourists and family visitors. Below are the exact addresses, the fields each one asks for and what every result means.
Which Qatar page holds your status?
- Your employer or sponsor in Qatar applied for a work or family visit visa: the MOI visa inquiry shows whether a visa exists and lets you print it.
- You are a worker with a QVC appointment in Dhaka: the QVC track application page shows your appointment, fingerprints, medical and whether results have gone to your employer.
- You applied for a tourist e-Visa yourself: the Hayya track your e-Visa page holds that application.
- Your sponsor lives in Qatar: they can also follow requests in the MOI's Metrash app, which needs a Qatari ID to sign in.
The MOI's own inquiry page on portal.moi.gov.qa lists these services together: Visa Approval Tracking, Visa Inquiry and Printing, Visa Extension and Fine Payment, and a link to the Qatar Visa Center for application tracking. All three MOI cards open the same form.
How do you check a Qatar visa on the MOI portal?
Open the MOI visa inquiry, choose Passport number in the Search By box, type the number from your passport, select Bangladesh as nationality, solve the captcha and press Search. If a work or visit visa has been issued against that passport, the result appears with the option to print it. The MOI describes the service as a way to follow visa approval and to print or reprint issued visas online.
- 1
Open the official form
Go to
fees2.moi.gov.qa/moipay/visa/inquiryand switch the page to English with the language link at the top if it opens in Arabic. - 2
Choose how to search
The Search By box offers Application number, Visa number and Passport number. Passport number is the easiest if you do not yet have the visa copy.
- 3
Enter your details
Type the passport number with no spaces and select Bangladesh under Nationality. With Visa number, you enter the visa number and nationality instead.
- 4
Use the application number only if you have its partners
Searching by application number also asks for the sponsor's or representative's ID and the application date, which usually only the employer holds.
- 5
Solve the captcha and search
Type the characters shown and press Search. If the code is rejected, reload the page and try the new one.
- 6
Print or save the result
If the visa appears, print it or save it as a PDF and check that the name and passport number match your passport letter for letter.
Following biometrics and the medical at QVC
Qatar work visas for Bangladeshi workers pass through the Qatar Visa Center, where you give fingerprints and take a medical test (general check-up, blood sample and chest X-ray). The Dhaka centre is at Rupayan Trade Center, 114 Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue, 11th floor, Bangla Motor, open Sunday to Thursday, with a helpline on +880 9666 777 101. To track it, enter your passport number, visa number and the captcha on the QVC tracking page.
| Status shown | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Appointment Confirmed | Your slot at the centre is booked | Attend on time with your passport and the appointment details |
| Appointment No show | The centre recorded that you missed the slot | Book again through Manage Appointment, or use the walk-in option QVC offers |
| Appointment Reschedule | The appointment has been moved | Check the new date and time before you travel to the centre |
| Biometric Completed | Your fingerprints and photo were taken | Nothing; the medical follows |
| Re-Enrolment Required | The Ministry of Interior needs your biometrics again | Return to QVC when called; this is not a refusal |
| Medical Complete | Your tests are done | Wait for the results; QVC may refer you for more tests |
| Result Available | Your results have gone to your employer | Ask your employer for the visa decision, then confirm it on the MOI inquiry |
The tracker also shows a timeline: Appointment Confirmed, Employment Contract Status, Biometric Enrolment Complete, Medical Test Complete, Medical Test Status and Results Available with Employer. QVC adds a note that matters more than any of these words: completing biometrics or the medical does not mean a visa has been issued, and applicants should contact their employer for the decision.
How do you check a Hayya tourist e-Visa?
Open Hayya's track your e-Visa page, enter either your entry reference number or your passport number, choose your nationality and press Submit. Hayya is the platform for tourist and family visit e-Visas you apply for yourself, so it will not show a work visa your employer filed. If the status stays pending for a long time, contact Hayya through its own contact page rather than a third party.
Why the MOI inquiry finds nothing
- The employer has not filed yet, or the approval has not been issued. A blank result is normal in the early weeks.
- You searched by application number without the sponsor ID and application date. Switch to Passport number.
- The passport was renewed. The visa sits under the passport number your employer used. Search with that one.
- A wrong nationality. Choose Bangladesh even if you live and work elsewhere.
- Typing errors: an O for a zero, or a space inside the number.
- The browser. Open the page in Chrome, Safari or Firefox rather than inside Facebook or IMO, and reload if the captcha will not accept.
If nothing shows after your employer confirms the visa is issued, ask for the visa number and a copy of the e-visa, then search by Visa number. A real visa is always visible on the MOI inquiry.
Recruiting agencies that handle many Qatar files keep each worker's passport number, visa number and QVC dates in one place. Agencies that prepare files properly use software like Visolv to track every client's file and send status updates through the agency's own client portal and WhatsApp. It does not query the MOI or QVC by itself: a caseworker checks the official pages and records the result, so the worker sees the same stage the government shows.
How to avoid fake Qatar visa check sites
When we searched for Qatar visa checks on 29 October 2026, pages styled as the Qatar visa status portal appeared on addresses ending in github.io, pages.dev and netlify.app. None of them is the MOI. The real inquiry lives on moi.gov.qa, the QVC tracker on qatarvisacenter.com and the e-Visa tracker on hayya.qa.
- A Facebook page or WhatsApp number that offers to check your Qatar visa for a fee is not connected to the MOI.
- Nobody needs your OTP, bank PIN or a passport photo to look up a visa status.
- A screenshot showing an approved visa means nothing until the same visa appears on the MOI inquiry for your passport.
- Do not pay a broker to get a faster QVC slot. QVC books appointments itself and runs a walk-in service.
What should you do once the visa shows as issued?
Print the visa from the MOI inquiry and compare every field with your passport: spelling of your name, passport number, date of birth and the employer's name. Report a mismatch to your employer before you fly, because it is far easier to correct before travel. Bangladeshi workers also need emigration clearance from the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) before departure, which your recruiting agency arranges.
If you are comparing Gulf destinations, our guides to the Kuwait visa check and the Dubai visa check cover their portals, and the visa check by passport number hub lists every country in one table. Agency owners can see how file tracking works in our guide to visa agency software.
Keep three addresses and nothing else: the MOI inquiry for the visa, the QVC tracker for your medical and fingerprints, and Hayya for a tourist e-Visa. What those pages show is the only status that counts.
Frequently asked questions
Can I check my Qatar visa with only my passport number?
Yes. The Ministry of Interior visa inquiry lets you search by passport number, as long as you also select your nationality and solve the captcha. If a work or visit visa has been issued against that passport, the result appears with a print option. If you have the visa number, searching by visa number with your nationality works too.
What does Results Available with Employer mean on the QVC tracker?
It means the Qatar Visa Center has finished its part, your biometrics and medical, and sent the results to your employer. It is not a visa decision. Ask your employer whether the visa has been issued, then confirm it yourself on the Ministry of Interior inquiry using your passport number or visa number.
Does finishing the medical at QVC mean my Qatar visa is approved?
No. QVC states on its tracking page that completing biometric enrolment or medical tests does not mean a visa has been issued. The Ministry of Health may also ask for a re-examination or extra tests, and the Ministry of Interior may ask you to enrol fingerprints again. The visa decision comes through your employer and shows on the MOI inquiry.
Why does the MOI Qatar visa check show no result for my passport?
Usually the visa has not been issued yet, the employer used a different passport number, or the nationality or passport number was entered wrongly. Search by passport number with Bangladesh selected, check each character, and use a normal browser. If your employer says the visa is issued, ask for the visa number and search with that.
How do I check a Qatar Hayya tourist visa?
Go to Hayya's track your e-Visa page on hayya.qa, enter your entry reference number or your passport number, choose your nationality and press Submit. Hayya covers tourist and family visit e-Visas that you apply for yourself. Work visas filed by an employer are not on Hayya; check those on the Ministry of Interior inquiry.
Should I pay an agent to check or speed up my Qatar visa?
No. Checking a Qatar visa is free on the MOI, QVC and Hayya pages, and no agent can change what those systems show. Anyone asking for money, an OTP or a passport photo to check or release your visa is not acting for the Qatari government. Confirm every claim yourself on the official MOI inquiry.
